Beaver Creek Gardens CSA is in it's fourth year. CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a great way for the consumer to "know your farmer, know your food." Beaver Creek Gardens currently is offering 3/4 bushel boxes for on-farm pick-up and host sites in surrounding areas for 20 weeks beginning in June through October. This year we will limit our subscribers to 100, an increase over last year, but small enough to maintain the personal touch in each box. We also have a year-round egg subscription CSA for 35 subscribers.
Beaver Creek Gardens organically produces its fruits and vegetables. A partial list of vegetables includes many different lettuces, asparagus, radishes, several varieties of carrots, onions, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, peas, melons, squashes, brussel sprouts, potatoes, kale, kohlrabi, turnips, cucumbers, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and herbs. Our 2012 pricing is on the subscription form.
For 2012, we have partnered with Collie Flower Farm to offer 10-20 week fresh cut flower subscriptions!
We are located in northeast Boone County and farming approximately three acres of our five acre farm that also currently houses our 28 laying hens and 2 roosters.
